About Pure

Pure is a dating app and a site for anonymous chatting. There are no profiles or swipes here. All you have is a feed with personal ads where you can find whatever you need: from intriguing online conversations to random encounters.

Pure rules

We love debauchery and straightforwardness, but there are rules that should be followed to help keep Pure an anonymous and safe platform for everyone over 18.
Things you can’t post to the feed:

  • Nudity (but anything goes in private chats—with consent, of course!)
  • Advertisements for drugs, sexual services or anything illegal
  • Hate speech and symbols
  • Spam and scams

Registration and Authorization

Registration

For registration you can use your Apple/Google account or e-mail. If you register with e-mail, you will need to insert manually confirmation code which you will receive on your e-mail. For registration with Apple/Google account, no need to insert anything manually.

Create your personal ad: talk about the kinds of experiences and people you’re looking for. Right after posting your ad, you’ll see other users online—and they’ll see you, too. Adding a photo is optional, but it will increase the chances of a quick encounter.

Authorization

To use Pure on multiple devices, you will need to log in again with your Apple/Google account, OR with your e-mail account. In case of authorization with your e-mail, you will have to enter manually verification code (the same way you did it during registration).

Account

How to post a personal ad?

In Pure, everything starts with your ad. To post an ad, click on the “ad” tab inside the app, write what kind of adventures you’re looking for, add a photo (if you wish) and click “post”. After that, you will see other users in your feed—and they will see you. You can edit the ad directly in the text input field, and it will be updated in the feed automatically when you click on the daw in the lower right corner.

How to upload a photo to my ad?

On the ad tab, click on the camera icon and upload a photo from your camera roll or take a new selfie. To change or delete a photo, click on the icon with an existing photo and click on the “Change” or “Delete” button. Want to add a photo from your private album? Just click on the “Album” tab, open the image you want and click “Attach photo to the ad.”



How to change my gender preferences?

You can change your preferences at any moment. Go to Settings and click on the word Girl (or Guy): this will change your gender preference. Your feed will be automatically updated.

Notification settings

It’s all up to you whether you want to respond to new messages Immediately or only see them when you open the app. To configure notifications, go to the “Settings” page in Pure and click on “Notifications.”
You can also enable or disable notifications in your phone’s settings.

Android:
Open your phone’s settings.

  • Click Apps & Notifications > Notifications.
  • Enable or disable the option “Show notifications”.

iOS:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. To choose when you want most notification previews to appear, tap Show Previews, then select an option: Always, When Unlocked, or Never.
  3. Tap Back, tap an app in the Notification Style menu, then turn Allow Notifications on or off.

How to delete my account?

We’re going to add the ability to delete an account directly in the application very soon, but for now, please write to us at feedback@pure.app with the subject line “Delete my account.”

Album

All photos stored in your Pure album are only visible to you. This is your private album. You can take selfies and save them at any time, then share them later with your chat partners whenever you like. If you want to delete a photo from an album, open the photo you want to delete and click on “Delete” in the lower right-hand corner.

Ad feed

How does the ad feed work?

In the feed, you can see the ads of other users who are currently online—including the ones that caught your eye. After matching with someone, you will have 24 hours to chat. You can see the people who liked your ad at the top of the screen in the “Chats” tab.

How does geolocation work?

The search radius works based on your device’s GPS data. When you change your location, the radius of your search changes, too.

Lifespan of your likes

All incoming and outgoing likes last for 24 hours. Your ad is visible to other users only while you are online.

Chats

How the self-destructing chat timer works?

Upon matching with another user, you will have 24 hours to chat with them. However, you have the ability to turn off the self-destruct timer. In the top right-hand corner of the chat screen, tap the collar icon. If your chat partner is up for it, the timer will shut off and you can talk for as long as you like. We will assign him or her a random nickname, but feel free to change it.

Restrictions on saving photos

We are doing everything to make your chats in Pure safe. No photos sent inside the chat can be saved to the device. If you try to take a screenshot of the chat, both parties will receive a notification.

In-chat scam notifications

If your chat partner uses a trigger word that scammers often use in the chat, our system automatically sends you an alert. This does not necessarily mean that your chat partner is a scammer, but we advise you to think twice about the personal information that you’re planning to share with this person. Avoid switching to any external messengers—chat in Pure.

How to delete messages and clear chat history

You can delete individual messages (texts, photos, audio) by long-pressing on the message you would like to delete and then tapping on “delete.” If you want to clear your whole chat history, you can do that by clicking on the chat menu and selecting “Clear chat history.” After you confirm, all chat messages will disappear permanently for you and your chat partner.

Instant chat for Android and Web (pure.app)

Users of Android devices or the Web version of Pure have the possibility to purchase the Instant Chat feature, giving them the ability to start chatting with someone they really like without waiting for that person to respond in kind. To do this, click on the pink chat bubble on your favorite ad. Your Instant Chat will be pinned to the top of your partner’s chat list and highlighted in pink.

Message status

All sent messages are marked “Sent” and opened messages are marked “Seen”.

Report system

Why was I banned?

Most likely, you were punished for bad behavior. We permanently ban for any of the following reasons:

  • Underage users
  • Sale of drugs or sex services
  • Scam
  • Spam
  • Hate speech

How to report other users?

Click on the menu icon (with three dots) inside the chat or in the ad feed, select "Report" and choose the reason for the report.

By clicking on the menu, you will see the following options:

  1. In the feed: “Hide Ad” (the person will disappear from your feed)
    In the chat: “Leave the chat” (your chat will be deleted for both of you and you will no longer be able to text each other)
  2. “Report” (you can choose one of the following reasons for reporting: sale of drugs or sex services, scam, spam, underage, hate speech or bad language)
  3. “Block forever” (the person will disappear from your Pure feed forever)

Why was my ad deleted?

Remember, we don’t allow users to post ads that contain nudity, hateful and abusive statements, bullying, threats to other users of the application, and so on. If our moderators or users report this kind of behavior, your ad will be deleted. This means that no one will see you in the feed and you will not be able to see other people's ads. As soon as you change the photo and ad text (according to the rules), you will be able to use the app again.

I encountered a scammer. What should I do?

If you meet scammers in the application, don’t send them money, don't give them your contact information or links to social media accounts, and please make sure to report them in the app.

Subscription settings and other paid features

Payment methods

Depending on your device, you can pay for the subscription through your Google/Apple account or with a credit card, if you are using the web version of Pure.

I can’t make a payment. What should I do?

Make sure that you have enough funds on your card and check if you have any blocks or restrictions on transactions. Try another card. If nothing helps, write to us at feedback@pure.app

Can I use one subscription on several devices?

Sure! If you deleted the application on one device and downloaded it on another, you don’t need to pay for your subscription again. Just use the same e-mail address that you already used for registration and Pure will automatically give you access (if the previously activated subscription in iTunes, Google Play or the web version is still valid).

How to cancel a subscription on Android

  • Open the app page in the Google Play Store
  • Click on the “Menu” icon, and then “Subscriptions”
  • Find the subscription you need and click "Unsubscribe"
  • Subscriptions must be cancelled at least 24 hours before they expire. This is the standard rule for subscriptions in Google Play.

How to cancel a subscription on iPhone

  • Open the “Settings” app.
  • Tap your name.
  • Tap “Subscriptions.” (If you don't see "Subscriptions," tap "iTunes & App Store" instead.)
  • Tap the subscription that you want to manage.
  • Tap “Cancel Subscription.”

How to cancel a subscription on Web

To cancel the automatic renewal of a subscription, you must perform the following steps:

  • Go to “Settings” in the upper right corner of the page (next to your profile photo).
  • Then click “Subscription” at the top left-hand side of the page.
  • Cancel the subscription by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Upon successful cancellation of your subscription auto-renewal, you will see the text "Automatic renewal is turned off."

How do refunds work?

By registering in the application, you agreed to the Terms and Conditions. We cannot refund money for an activated subscription that you have used. If any technical errors have occurred, write to us at feedback@pure.app. We will check everything and try to help.

In-app purchases

Gifts

If you want to attract the attention of a girl you like, you can send her a virtual gift of your choice: flowers or a cocktail. If you want to get the attention of the guy you like, you can choose between a pineapple or a drink. He or she will receive a notification that you sent a gift. Everyone loves gifts and attention, so a gesture like this will give you a better chance of success.

King of the Hill

If you want to stand out from the crowd, you have the opportunity to become the King of the Hill. This is an additional paid feature inside the application. By becoming King of the Hill, your ad will be at the top of the feed for all the girls nearby, while you are online or until another guy beats you down.

How to report technical issues

We will need the following information:

  • Indicate the platform on which you encountered the problem (iOS/Android/Web).
  • Your Pure ID
  • Android and iOS -> Go to “Settings” and send us an e-mail from the address indicated at the bottom of the screen
  • Web -> Go to the “Account” and send us an e-mail from the address indicated under the line “Your account” or a screenshot of this screen.
  • Describe the problem. Tell us about the actions that led to the problem, step-by-step and taking into account all important details.
  • Indicate the exact time the problem occurred—up to the minute, if possible.

Other things that might be helpful:

  • If you are using Pure on iOS or Web, send screenshots or videos of the problem.
  • If you are using Pure on Android, send logs.
  • Go to the “Settings” screen inside the application, tap on the e-mail at the bottom and hold it for a few seconds until you see the option to send logs via e-mail

If the problem concerns paying for a subscription or in-app purchases, be sure to send us a receipt from the billing operator (for iOS, Apple; for Android, Google; for Web, Cardpay). Please note that we need the receipt specifically from the billing operator, not from your bank.
